Right now, amid all the deadline day chaos, things seem quite calm and collected over at Tottenham Hotspur – just how Ange Postecoglou would have wished.
It would appear that Tottenham have finished their spending, content that the likes of Dominic Solanke, Archie Gray and Wilson Odobert will provide them with sufficient quality.
Perhaps some Spurs fans will still feel as if the club have missed a trick not signing a new left-sided defender, given Ben Davies remains first backup in two demanding positions.
But from the outside, the club seem content that their squad is equipped to compete for a top four spot and progress well in the Europa League.
That being said, there are still two first-team Tottenham players who could be left out of Postecoglou’s Premier League squad should they not secure a late exit.
Tottenham willing to leave Sergio Reguilon and Giovani Lo Celso out of their squads
Journalist Dan Kilpatrick has provided an update for Standard Sport on what is happening at Tottenham on deadline day right now.
And the main headline of his news was that Spurs are trying to offload Giovani Lo Celso and Sergio Reguilon before the deadline – who could also be left out of the club’s Europa League squad should they not go.

Kipatrick shared: “The priority for Spurs, as it stands this morning, is completing their summer clearout by finding buyers for unwanted pair Giovani Lo Celso and Sergio Reguilon.
“Neither player is part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans and they face being left out of the Premier League and European squads if they remain at the club.
“Postecoglou, though, does not believe in bomb squads, so Lo Celso and Reguilon are continuing to train with the first team.
“If no European buyer emerges, Spurs will offer the pair around Saudi Arabia and Turkey, where the windows remain open for longer.
“As for incomings, do not hold your breath. Spurs are not expecting to make any signings today unless they are presented with a deal that is too good to turn down.
“Never say never but it will probably be quiet.”
Tottenham should be pushing for Kyle Walker-Peters on deadline day
From the outside, it’s still fairly baffling that Spurs aren’t pursuing a reunion with Kyle Walker-Peters on deadline day.
As mentioned, Postecoglou doesn’t have sufficient backup to Destiny Udogie on the left, and it’s still being reported that Djed Spence could leave.
Tottenham were considering a move for Walker-Peters weeks ago, and seemingly have decided against a move.
But given the extra European games they’ll have this season, that could ultimately be a mistake.
That being said, Walker-Peters may even sign a new Southampton contract should Spurs veto a move late on.
