Arsenal are likely to be busy in the summer transfer window in wake of a season in which injuries and suspensions have taken their toll.
Although the Gunners remain in contention for the Premier League title and the Champions League, they have suffered from players being out.
In addition, there are several positions in which Arsenal could do with strengthening, such as in goal, in midfield, and in attack.
Now, the club director of an “extraordinary” talent wanted by the Gunners has confirmed they’ll consider selling him for below his release clause price.

Arsenal could sign Joan Garcia for below release clause price
The player in question is Joan Garcia, who is enjoying a superb campaign for Spanish side Espanyol.
The Gunners wanted to sign Garcia in 2024, as back-up to David Raya, though they ultimately went with a loan deal for Bournemouth’s Neto.
Arsenal are still interested in Garcia and they’ve now been handed a boost, based on what has been said by Espanyol sporting director Fran Garagarza.
“All clubs in Spain live by selling,” Garagarza told Marca. “We, much more.
“What is a good sale? There is no need to be afraid. But then you have to invest and make it cyclical. You have to know who will occupy the position of the sell.
“The viability of the club depends on keeping us, it goes through a capital increase and it goes through a good sale.
“Then, you have to get it right in what you are going to bring because to get back to support yourself and grow with very firm but sure steps.
“In the final stretch of the market we have to ask for the clause, but if a good offer arrives before, we will study it.
“But the important thing is to know what we would do with that money. We have to work on the line of succession.”
Graeme Bailey, chief correspondent at TBR Football, recently confirmed that Garcia is attracting interest from other clubs in England alongside Arsenal.
Bournemouth have been tracking the Spaniard closely, along with Manchester City, Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest and Brentford.
What Joan Garcia could bring to Arsenal
Garcia hails from Sallant, a suburb of Barcelona, and began his professional football journey with local side Espayol.
The 23-year-old broke into the Espanyol B team back in 2019 and was handed a first-team debut in January 2022.
Garcia became Espanyol’s first-choice goalkeeper and played a key role as they secured promotion back to La Liga via the playoffs last season.
He has kicked on this season, making 24 La Liga appearances and keeping the newly-promoted club outside of the bottom three.
Former Espanyol boss Luis Garcia was quoted by OneFootball as saying Garcia was ‘extraordinary’ in the 2023/24 campaign.
Garcia even predicted that he will become the future first-choice stopper for Spain.
