TBR Football understands that Chelsea have been alerted to the situation of Jules Kounde at Barcelona who has fallen out with Hansi Flick.
Kounde was dropped to the bench for Barca’s recent clash with Rayo Vallecano after he turned up late for a team meeting which broke club rules.
The right-back has otherwise been a key player for the Catalan club having started 34 matches this season.
Barcelona insist that their recent issues with the defender will not impact his long-term future at the club, however, the Blues and other Premier League clubs are now attentive to the situation.

Jules Kounde remains very high on Chelsea’s wanted list and news of the recent internal issue did cause a reaction from Stamford Bridge, sources have told TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey.
The Spanish giants want to keep hold of the Frenchman though and are attempting to renew his contract until 2030 with his current deal still having over two years left to run.
But after a falling out with Hansi Flick that could cause complications over a deal to extend his deal in Catalunya.
Speaking about the situation, the German manager told the media: “Jules Kounde has been benched as it’s an internal decision. It’s football and these things happen.”
TBR Football can also reveal that in addition to Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City remain firmly brief on Kounde’s situation should he decide to leave the Nou Camp.
Although at this stage, Barca are confident that they will soon agree fresh terms with the £51m defender who remains a key player for them.

There is no doubt that Kounde has established himself as one of the top defenders in Europe over recent seasons.
The French international has also shown impressive versatility as he can play as both a central defender and a right-back.

His favoured position has become right-back and he could offer a solid upgrade on Malo Gusto and Reece James, whilst also being an option for central defence.
