Report: ‘Extraordinary’ midfielder set to join Sunderland with medical scheduled

Sunderland have reportedly agreed terms to complete a late loan signing ahead of Friday’s transfer deadline.

The Black Cats currently sit at the top of the Championship after a perfect start to the season. New manager Regis Le Bris has led the side to three consecutive victories without conceding a single goal.

However, Sunderland‘s transfer business over the summer has not given fans much to shout about, with the club struggling financially.

Their five signings so far have all arrived as free agents or on loan , and star winger Jack Clarke was sold for £20million to Ipswich Town.

However, fresh reports suggest they are about to make a late addition to their squad.
