Liverpool have been linked with a move for Federico Chiesa over the past 24 hours, but with just days to go in this window, time is of the essence to get this deal done.
As many will know, a number of dominoes have to fall for any transfer to be done, and, luckily for Liverpool, the wheels may now be in motion for Chiesa to head to Anfield.
Indeed, while Chiesa has been one of Juventus’ most important players in recent years, he’s now surplus to requirements in Turin.
The winger has been made to train alone this summer, and now, his place in the squad has also been taken.
Juventus have just made an announcement that further cements Chiesa’s position as being dispensable.
Juventus sign Francisco Conceicao
Juventus’ stance on Chiesa has been strange this summer. After all, they didn’t have a clear replacement through the door.
However, that has just changed.
The Old Lady have just announced the signing of Francisco Conceicao from Porto.
Aside from having names that look like they could be the same in two separate languages, there are a lot of similarities between Conceicao and Chiesa.
Both men are ball-carrying wingers capable of operating on either side, but their main preference is to play as a left-footer down the right to cut inside on their stronger foot.
Conceicao is Chiesa’s replacement, and now, the Italian star is surely more likely to depart Juventus.

Chiesa already had one foot out of the door at Juventus, but this signing surely cements the idea that the winger will be leaving.
The winger has now fallen even further down the Juventus pecking order, and quite simply, it looks like he will be on his way out.
Chiesa is now even further out of favour at Juventus, and that could allow the door to Anfield to open that little bit more as well.
