Liverpool have made a slow start to the summer transfer window but with the new Premier League season just six days away, business is expected to ramp up.
Liverpool are desperate to sign Real Soceidad’s Martin Zubimendi as Arne Slot looks to address the number six area – which is certainly a weak point at the moment.
Zubimendi impressed in the Euro 2024 final and since then, a number of clubs around Europe have registered their interest in his signature.
The Spaniard appears to be closing in on a move to Merseyside and once that deal is completed, The Reds are expected to make an approach for a free agent.

Liverpool want to sign Adrien Rabiot
According to The Mirror, Arne Slot wants Liverpool to sign Adrien Rabiot as well as Zubimendi this summer.
Rabiot is a free agent after his Juventus contract expired at the start of July and has been of interest to Manchester United.
The 29-year-old has established himself as a ‘world class’ (Football Italia) midfielder over the last few years and his potential arrival at Anfield would allow Wataru Endo to depart.
Endo is attracting interest from West Ham and Marseille have recently had a £12m bid knocked back – which fell well below Liverpool’s valuation.
Adrien Rabiot profile
Rabiot is a left-footed central midfielder who excels in dictating the tempo of games.
The Frenchman has also improved his output going forward in recent years and registered eight goal contributions last term for the Serie A side.
Rabiot, a World Cup winner in 2018, started all five of France’s games at the European Championships earlier this summer, amplifying how highly thought of he is on the international stage, too.
