Arsenal target is set to cause a real stir in the transfer market

The deal to bring Calafiori in to the Emirates could be just what Arsenal need to really kickstart their summer of spending.

But a real focus on quality could be exactly what the Gunners need to see them finally get their hands back on the Premier League crown.

And there is one player who is on the market this summer that would certainly prove to be a quality addition in Dani Olmo.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Olmo is one of the players who needs to be watched over the coming weeks in the summer transfer market.

“Dani Olmo has been on Bayern’s list since May, but it will depend on the evolutions on the [Xavi] Simons and Desire Doue negotiations,” he said.

“There’s still no bid for Olmo, but it could be one to watch in the next weeks for several clubs. Leipzig are open to selling if the proposal will be around €60m (£50m).”

Dani Olmo seriously impressed at Euro 2024

If anyone needed a reminder of the quality which Olmo possess, this summer’s Euros showed just what the Spaniard was capable of.

With Pedri suffering an injury in the quarter final against Germany, Olmo picked up more responsibility and he certainly repaid the faith put in him.

In that game alone, Olmo returned a goal and an assist as he ended the tournament with three goals, two assists and a winner’s medal.

The ‘unbelievable‘ midfielder is a player who is on the radar of some of Europe’s biggest clubs and the Gunners are one which certainly have an interest.
