West Ham United are keen to land a £42m-rated defender who’s considered ‘one of the best’ across the continent.
Julen Lopetegui has already added Luis Guilherme, Max Kilman and Wes Foderingham to his ranks this summer but he’s still eager to add more profiles.
One of them being a central defender to perhaps replace Nayef Aguerd, who continues to be linked with a move away from the London Stadium.
With that said, it has just emerged that they’re interested in signing a former Chelsea centre-back.

West Ham interested in Fikayo Tomori
According to the Daily Mail, West Ham United are interested in signing AC Milan centre-back Fikayo Tomori this summer.
Tomori, who has been labelled ‘one of the best’ defenders in Italy per talkSPORT, has been on The Hammers’ shortlist for years, dating back to 2020 when they almost signed him on a loan deal.
After flourishing in Serie A, the 26-year-old is thought to be valued at around £42m per the Chronicle Live.
At this stage, it’s not yet known if Tomori would be open to a move to West Ham considering Milan have Champions League football on the horizon, though, it may give him a greater chance of getting back into the England squad which is something he’ll likely consider.
Fikayo Tomori statistics
Tomori’s FBref statistics make for very impressive reading.
The five-cap England international ranks in the top 14 per cent for pass completion compared to his positional peers across Europe.
Further, he sits in the top 15 per cent for tackles and 20 per cent for blocks per 90, evincing his proficient defensive ability.
In other news, West Ham make enquiry to sign Lionel Messi’s £14m teammate who wants to leave.
