Omar Marmoush is one of the biggest players who could be on the move in the January transfer window.
Marmoush has been incredible for Eintracht Frankfurt this season, and he’s being courted by a number of top clubs.
Liverpool have been linked with Marmoush recently, while Manchester City want Marmoush as well.
The Egyptian is a top talent, and it’s not surprising to see that he’s so in demand during this January window.
Speaking on the Ranks FC Podcast, Dean Jones has been discussing Marmoush’s situation, and he’s shared what he’s heard from Arsenal sources on this front.

Arsenal recently scouted Marmoush, and they are fans of the player.
Ian Wright wants Arsenal to sign Marmoush, but according to Jones, Arsenal don’t believe they will be able to get the attacker this month.
Indeed, Jones says that Man City sources told him that they admire Marmoush, but they don’t think he is available halfway through the season, and Jones has heard similar from Arsenal sources too.
“Omar Marmoush, I’ve just spoke about a minute ago. He is on City’s radar. Interestingly, last week when I checked the story out, because I wasn’t really convinced by it, I was told by somebody at City that, yeah, a player we completely admire, not somebody we think we’re going to be able to get out of Frankfurt halfway through the season,” Jones said.
“I was like, okay, that’s fair enough. That’s similar to what I’ve heard from Arsenal as well in the last few days, it hasn’t gone away.”
However, after looking into it further, Jones has claimed that Marmoush could be on the move this month.
“Sam Wallace at The Telegraph wrote again about Marmoush and Man City and I’ll tell you what, checking it out a little bit further with a couple more contacts, I think Frankfurt would sell. I think Frankfurt here are looking for a bit more to open up so that they can sell Marmoush at a better price. You get paid more basically in January than you would get in the summer if Marmoush goes now.”

Arsenal are fans of Marmoush, and it’s not hard to understand why the Gunners are keen on the Frankfurt star.
Indeed, the stats this season show that Marmoush is a top player who would be a real upgrade on anyone Arsenal currently have.

Marmoush is outperforming every single attacker at Arsenal right now, and if he can carry that form through to the Premier League, he would be an absolute superstar.
Of course, whenever you go head-to-head with Manchester City for a transfer target, you face a tough task.
That said, Arsenal have beat Manchester City to key signings in the past.
Manchester City bid for Declan Rice in the summer of 2023, but the midfielder did ultimately end up joining Arsenal instead of Pep Guardiola’s side.
Whether or not Arsenal can beat City to Marmoush remains to be seen, but this transfer race could be a very interesting one to say the least.
