Marcus Rashford is seemingly on the verge of leaving Manchester United.
The England international sat down with Henry Winter for a revealing interview, in which he claimed he is “ready for a new challenge” after 20 years at Old Trafford.
It comes after Ruben Amorim dropped Rashford from the squad completely for Sunday’s 2-1 Manchester derby win at the Etihad Stadium.
While the Manchester United No.10 surely won’t be short of offers given his talent, his £325,000-a-week wages may prove problematic.
Richard Keys feels no club will sign Rashford for that salary, and he may have a point.
On that note, let’s take a look at how much Marcus Rashford has cost Manchester United per goal since he signed that lucrative contract back in July 2023.
Manchester United have paid Marcus Rashford over £1m per goal since July 2023
The 27-year-old had just scored 30 goals in 56 appearances under Erik ten Hag before signing this contract, so you can see why the Red Devils offered him such large terms.

However, Rashford has not been worth the sizeable salary.
There have been 74 weeks between the forward signing that contract and now, in which time he has only scored 15 goals in 67 games but received wages worth £24m – a huge amount.
That equates to a staggering £1.6m per goal.
Where Marcus Rashford could go
It will be a surprise if another club offers to pay Rashford’s current salary, but a few sides are already being linked regardless.
Saudi Pro League clubs like Rashford – and obviously have the finances to sign him – although TBR Football understand the attacker is not interested.

PSG are also keen to sign Rashford – a move we feel is more likely to happen, especially as Kolo Randal Muani has just been put up for sale by the French giants.
