Tottenham Hotspur have endured a topsy-turvy start to the new Premier League season.
Ange Postecoglou is taking charge of his second season at Tottenham and whilst performances have generally been encouraging, the results have been really inconsistent.
Spurs have won three of their opening seven league games and reside in ninth, so evidently there’s plenty of room for improvement.
With that said, it’s just come to light that Tottenham are already eyeing a winger on the continent to bolster their ranks ahead of the January transfer window.

Tottenham could bid for Javi Puado
According to La Razon, Tottenham Hotspur scouts have gained positive reports on Espanyol winger Javi Puado.
The outlet claims that Spurs could ‘threaten’ to sign Puado in January, which indicates a formal offer could be in the pipeline.
It’s thought the club chiefs have been keeping an eye on the development of Alejo Veliz, who’s spending the season on loan at Espanyol.
And whilst monitoring Veliz, his teammate Puado has caught the eye of Tottenham, especially considering he can be signed for an affordable price.
The 26-year-old has less than a year remaining on his deal, so January represents the last chance for Espanyol to earn a fee on their talisman.
Javi Puado can be Dominic Solanke’s understudy
Puado, who’s been labelled ‘stunning’ by Espanyol’s website, is a winger by trade but he can also ply his trade as a centre-forward, as he has done on four occasions this season – netting three times.
That’s perhaps a reason why Spurs are keen to land his signature, as he’d cover multiple areas across Postecoglou’s forward line.
When Solanke was out injured earlier this season, Spurs lacked a cutting edge up front, so Puado would be perfect to slot in the number nine role when needed.
Interestingly, Puado is the all-time top scorer at Espanyol’s stadium.
