With all the talk of a the north London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham this weekend, it’s easy to forget about any sort of transfer talk right now.
But, with the window having only shut a few weeks ago, it looks like Spurs and Arsenal could be set to do battle in the next few transfer periods.
As we know, the summer saw both Arsenal and Tottenham busy in the market.

Arsenal made big moves to sign Riccardo Calafiori, Mikel Merino, Neto and then on deadline day, Raheem Sterling.
Over at Tottenham, big money was spent on the likes of Wilson Odobert and Dominic Solanke, among others.
However, one key target who Tottenham never signed was England midfielder, Eberechi Eze. Tottenham backed away from Eze after reports of ‘silly money’ being needed this summer.
But looking ahead to next summer, it looks like Spurs might well regret not making the move, with Arsenal now a big worry.

Tottenham concerned over Arsenal when it comes to signing Eberechi Eze
According to a report from Football Transfers, Tottenham are now facing what’s described as a ‘road block’ in their pursuit of Eze and it involves both Arsenal and Man City.
It’s claimed that Tottenham fear that Arsenal or City have got into the ear of Eze and ultimately, have turned him towards them rather than Spurs.
As we know, Tottenham very much still hold an interest in Eze despite the window closing shut.
But with Tottenham unable to guarantee Champions League football and both City and Arsenal likely to have that on offer in 2025, Daniel Levy and co face a problem.
Eze the missing piece for Tottenham
While you can admire Tottenham’s window this summer and say they did make good signings, they still do look short in some areas.
Yes, they have gifted attacking midfield players on the books already but a player like Ebere Eze, who has been tipped as a potential ‘superstar‘, could be a game-changer.

Right now, if Spurs do have wind of Arsenal or City being in the mix, then the work needs to start now on ensuring they’re primed to make their own pitch come next summer – or even January.
Players like Eze are few and far between and for Tottenham, he can be a genuine difference maker.
