Tottenham Hotspur spent big in the summer transfer window as Daniel Levy went out and signed a number of players.
Daniel Levy has been criticised heavily in the past for his lack of spending at Tottenham, but fans really can have no complaints after a splurge of over £100 million this summer.
Dominic Solanke hasn’t really had a chance to showcase his talents due to an injury that’s seen him miss the last two games, but Ange Postecoglou will be hopeful that he can have a big impact this season.
The likes of Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray were more looked at with a view to the future but they’ve already enjoyed minutes as Tottenham look to give the youngsters a chance.
However, the lack of quality centre-back options could prove to be an issue as the likes of Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven and Radu Dragusin are the only out-and-out players in that position, with Archie Gray and Ben Davies having the versatility to fill in if needed.
Interestingly, it appears as if Spurs had the chance to sign a midfielder but decided not to…
Premier League club already had a replacement lined up for Tottenham target
Giovani Lo Celso swapped Spurs for Real Betis in the summer which left a bit of a space for someone to come in as an attacking midfielder.
Of course, after seeing James Maddison’s injury worries last season it would’ve made sense to bring in a back-up in his position, but the club decided not to.

Now, according to the Daily Mail, Crystal Palace were resigned to losing Eberechi Eze with Tottenham and a whole host of other clubs interested.
It’s stated that Palace were so convinced the ‘world class’ Eze would leave that they lined up a deal for Johan Bakayoko from PSV Eindhoven as his replacement.
Could Tottenham go back in for Eberechi Eze?
Interestingly, the £68 million clause that was in Eze’s contract will reopen next year which could provide Spurs with the opportunity to move for the Englishman.
However, the fact that the Premier League champions are also in the race won’t make it easy, though the midfielder may prefer to stay in London.
Lucas Bergvall’s development could be something that influences a potential move for Eze in January.
He’s currently away with Sweden on international duty and impressed massively alongside Dejan Kulusevski in a win over Azerbaijan.
