Tottenham Hotspur already have a player on their radar after the summer transfer window, with Ange Postecoglou looking to strengthen.

The Lilywhites were found out defensively at times last season as Postecoglou’s high line policy cost them, but the Australian continues to live by his policy.

Ange Postecoglou got what he desired in the summer transfer window as Daniel Levy gave him five players to help strengthen Tottenham‘s European bid.

However, Troy Deeney believes that Spurs should’ve signed Ivan Toney after their choice to opt for Dominic Solanke.

And, there are a number of players out on loan who could have a part to play in the future of the club, with Alejo Veliz running alongside Yamine Lamal for the La Liga U23 Player of the Month award.

Although, it appears as if Spurs already have a new striker on their radar…

Spurs are still light on striker options despite signing Solanke. The likes of Richarlison and Son Heung-min can play up top but they’re not out-and-out strikers.

And, the Lilywhites were interested in Ivan Toney throughout the summer but a move never materialised.

However, a report from SportBILD (as per Sport Witness) claims that Tottenham were interested in signing Lois Openda from RB Leipzig in the summer transfer window.

The report also states that Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United all ‘came knocking’ this summer, with a future transfer very much on the cards.

He is already on the wish list of Tottenham and it will take in excess of €75m (£63m) to sign him as there’s no release clause in his current deal.

The German club would welcome a ‘mega sale’.

How good is Lois Openda?

Lois Openda burst onto the scene at Lens which helped him seal a move to his current club RB Leipzig.

He’s already netted three goals in three games this season to follow on from 28 goals and seven assists in all competitions last season.

Interestingly, Lois Openda (via Bulinews) looks up to former Spurs star Harry Kane.

“Harry Kane is one of the best players in the world. He’s better than me. But that’s what drives me: I want to be at his level one day.

“I can do a lot more and that’s what I’m working on every day to get the best out of myself,”

This will no doubt endear him to the Spurs fans in itself as the club’s all-time leading goalscorer.
