Arsenal are going to be busy on transfer deadline day.
The Gunners could make three new signings, while there’s also some departures that need to be finalised.
Eddie Nketiah is set to join Crystal Palace, while Aaron Ramsdale is closing in on a move to Southampton.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Russell Martin has been discussing Ramsdale, and he’s been very open about this move.
The Southampton manager admits that this deal is very advanced, and he’s hopeful that a deal can be done shortly so that Ramsdale can train with the team today.

Russell Martin says Aaron Ramsdale move is close
Martin spoke about the £25m man.
“I think the clubs are very advanced in terms of what’s going on with the paperwork and that stuff. You just mentioned there that Arsenal are trying to get one in themselves. I’m not sure what’s going on there, but we will be kept on top of it, but the hope is that he will be registered in time to play tomorrow and train this morning,” Martin said.
Who are Arsenal signing?
Ramsdale is close to joining Southampton, but, as Martin says, Arsenal are working on a replacement.
So, who are Arsenal in for?
Apparently, the Gunners are looking to sign Neto from Bournemouth, while Joan Garcia is also an option for Arsenal.
Neto is said to be much closer to signing, and this deal will also be much cheaper.
Arsenal also need a new attacking player through the door before the deadline, so the Gunners are certainly a team to watch as we approach the deadline.
Ramsdale’s departure appears to be almost inevitable at this point, and this move should allow Arsenal to go out and finalise a move for Neto from Bournemouth.
Whether or not Ramsdale is signed in time to play for Southampton this weekend remains to be seen, but with the registration deadline approaching, this could be a tricky situation.
