Tottenham Hotspur have had a busy summer of transfer activity, with three new major signings through the door in north London.
Archie Gray and Wilson Odobert have arrived as big-money signings for the future, while Dominic Solanke has arrived from Bournemouth.
Solanke is the most expensive signing of the summer so far, and speaking on Premier League Productions, Owen Hargreaves has been discussing this signing.
Hargreaves says that Solanke is a fantastic signing, and, in fact, he can’t believe Tottenham have been allowed to sign him unchallenged, stating that he’s amazed nobody else came in for Solanke this summer.

Owen Hargreaves amazed Tottenham were able to sign Solanke
Hargreaves shared his verdict on the £65m man.
“I love Solanke. I’m amazed that nobody else came in for him. I think he’s the perfect centre-forward player, we mention size, speed, he has skill, he knows the Premier League, I think he will only get better and I think he will score more than he did against Bournemouth. If he starts well I think he could even compete for the Golden Boot,” Hargreaves said.
Solanke was available
It is a surprise that nobody came in for Solanke during the first two months of the transfer window.
The striker’s £65m release clause has been active for quite some time, and with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United all needing a striker this summer, it is a shock that nobody has been in for Solanke.
Tottenham had a free run at the Bournemouth striker, and they managed to get this deal done without much fuss.
Solanke could well prove to be one of the signings of the summer, he’s a proven goalscorer at this level and he’s joining a team that creates a lot of chances.
Tottenham have done a brilliant piece of business in signing Solanke.
