Leeds United have had their key assets torn away from them this summer and could now be on the verge of losing Georginio Rutter.
Overnight, Brighton have activated Rutter’s £40m release clause and now it’s down to the Frenchman if he decides to leave.
Crysencio Summerville has already left for West Ham United and Archie Gray joined Tottenham Hotspur in a £40m deal.
If Rutter does leave Elland Road, Leeds should try to sign Sunderland’s playmaker.

Leeds should try to sign Jobe Bellingham
Leeds United should try to sign Sunderland playmaker Jobe Bellingham if they have to replace Rutter.
Bellingham, who’s been labelled a ‘wonderkid’ (Khel Now), enjoyed a productive debut season at the Stadium of Light last term, netting seven Championship goals.
The 18-year-old, who naturally draws comparisons to his older brother Jude Bellingham, is attracting interest from the Premier League.
Tottenham are interested in signing Bellingham, as are Crystal Palace, though, Sunderland are determined to keep him at the club.
Jobe Bellingham price tag
The Black Cats have slapped a £20m price tag on Bellingham, so evidently it won’t be an easy deal to do for Leeds.
But, they certainly have the capital having raised just under £100m in player sales and that’s even before the potential Rutter sale.
The Whites also need a Summerville replacement and have identified Norwich City wide player Jonathan Rowe.
