Unfortunately for Tottenham Hotspur fans, they will have to wait until Monday’s trip to face Leicester City before they get to see a glimpse of Dominic Solanke in their club colours.
Solanke was present at Spurs’ meeting with Bayern Munich and Harry Kane on the weekend, but wasn’t quite ready to play a part.
Either way, it felt significant that Tottenham had finally signed their Kane replacement on the day that he returned to the club.
Scoring 19 goals for Bournemouth in the Premier League last season, Solanke will perhaps already be looking to better that figure during his debut season in north London.
It won’t be an easy feat, but this Ange Postecoglou side does look perfectly set for the Englishman, who should thrive as part of their press.
Clik here to view.

Of course, the understated benefit of Solanke’s arrival will be that Son Heung-min can return to his favoured position on the left-wing.
All that being said, when speaking on ‘The Rest Is Football’ podcast, both Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer have been sharing their honest thoughts on Solanke’s arrival.
Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer think Dominic Solanke could be perfect for Tottenham
Two former strikers themselves, both pundits were relatively impressed by the transfer, thinking Solanke is poised for further success in his new venture.
Lineker initially said: “Solanke to Spurs. It’s an interesting signing for Spurs, he had a brilliant season last year. That could pay off.”
Shearer shared similar sentiments, claiming that Tottenham had to find a new striker.
He stated: “He had a brilliant season and that was definitely an area where Spurs have had to strengthen. I think he will do well for them there.”

Of course, the only reservation some Tottenham fans may have is the fee attached to the move – £65m.
Prior to his improvement last term, Solanke hasn’t scored more than six goals in a Premier League season.
The striker’s overall record in the top flight reads 134 games and just 29 goals.
Admittedly, Solanke’s unsuccessful Premier League beginnings with Liverpool factor into those numbers, but it’s pretty remarkable to consider just how much the striker improved last season.
That being said, there seems little risk for Tottenham on a quality front – Solanke is definitely now equipped to play for a top team.
And after the move was announced on Saturday, both Dele Alli and Micky van de Ven have been reacting to Solanke’s arrival.
