Manchester United and Liverpool are both in the market for a new midfielder this summer.
The two great rivals are both looking to improve in central areas, and they are both keen to sign a new holding midfield player.
United desperately need to replace Casemiro as the Brazilian continues to slow down, while Wataru Endo doesn’t appear to be a long-term solution at Liverpool.
Both clubs are looking to sign a new holding midfield player, and given their respective ambitions this season, it’s not a surprise to hear that they’re shopping in similar sorts of ponds.
Indeed, United are now looking at signing a player who has had meetings about signing for Liverpool.

Manchester United keen on Ederson
According to GiveMeSport, Manchester United are keen on signing Atalanta’s Ederson.
The Brazilian’s name has been in the headlines a fair bit in recent months, and he has apparently held transfer meetings with Liverpool.
The midfielder is said to be a target for Liverpool, but now it’s Manchester United who are looking at signing Ederson.
United may well have an edge in this race. After all, Ederson will know Rasmus Hojlund very well from his time at Atalanta, and the idea of reuniting with the Dane may appeal to the South American.
What Ederson has said about moving this summer
Ederson could well be on the move this summer.
Indeed, the player himself has admitted that he could leave Atalanta, claiming that he’s curious about the Premier League.
“I don’t know, I’ve thought about it a lot, I like Italy, I’m well adapted, but I’m curious about the Premier League, so I don’t know,” Ederson said.
“I’m still growing, so I don’t know if I’ll stay in Italy, I think I still have more to prove. If I go somewhere else, then too. I will continue to grow.”
“It always happens when the market opens that all the speculation comes, but not only about my future, but also for many players.”
“I am very happy at Atalanta. I just won a great title, I am very well integrated. My future is something that doesn’t worry me.
“If something comes up about a transfer, the club has to accept it first, and that is the most important thing.”
A move to England could be on the cards for Ederson, but whether it’s Liverpool or Manchester United who make a move remains to be seen.
