Report: Champions League club expect to sign 'unbelievable' Tottenham player by tomorrow after Levy talks

It is now exactly two weeks until Tottenham Hotspur open up their 2024/25 Premier League campaign against Leicester City.

Ange Postecoglou‘s side have now returned to north London following their pre-season tour of Asia.

Away from the pitch, the focus from Tottenham now has to be on adding more signings before their season opener against the Foxes.

It has not exactly been an electric start from Spurs in the transfer window with Archie Gray the only actual new face who will be ready to start the season in two weeks time.

But when it comes to player exits, that is something which Daniel Levy has been on top of with the Spurs chairman overseeing plenty of departures.

And it seems as if the next player sale could now just be a matter of hours away.

Tottenham ready to sanction player exit number nine

Player sales has not been an issue for Tottenham this summer with the Lilywhites clearing the decks of any unwanted players.

A couple may still remain, but Tottenham are looking to make those exits happen over the new few weeks.

Spurs have not been able to bring in money for each transaction that has seen a player leave this summer, but they have massively cut down their bloated wage bill.

And it looks like player exit number nine could soon be sanctioned after further talks over the weekend.

According to Calciomercato, a transfer deal for Emerson Royal to make the move to AC Milan is now expected to be completed by Wednesday.

The Brazilian right-back has been one of the transfer sagas to have developed at Spurs but it seems as if he is finally getting his move.

But Spurs are looking for €15m (£12.8m) to see Emerson depart but, over the weekend, Milan expressed their desire to do a deal at €14m (£12m).

Although Levy has said that is not enough, there is still a feeling this is a deal which will get done over the coming hours.

Tottenham plotting move for new right-back

Perhaps the surprise package this summer for Tottenham in pre-season has been the revival of Djed Spence‘s career at Spurs.

The right-back looked destined to move on this summer after two years of struggle in north London.

Spence had interest from a number of clubs this summer, but the right-back has returned looking like a new man as Postecoglou admitted Spence may have just saved his Tottenham career.

However, Fabrizio Romano has recently claimed Spurs are still eyeing the right-back market with the ‘unbelievable‘ Emerson looking set for the exit.

Spurs could well just be looking at adding further depth behind Spence with European football to play but it would feel extremely harsh to replace Spence after such an impressive summer.
