West Ham United have been busy on the transfer front this summer and it looks as though their market activities are picking up pace.
The Hammers have already signed three players, with Luis Guilherme, Wes Foderingham and Max Kilman arriving at the London Stadium in recent weeks.
West Ham are also said to be on the verge of signing Crysencio Summerville, while Niclas Fullkrug has reportedly been the subject of a Hammers bid.
Now, according to Florian Plettenberg, West Ham have reached agreement for a player who has been deemed “the best in the world” at 1v1 defending.

West Ham reach agreement with Aaron Wan-Bissaka
The player in question is Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who has been linked with a move to West Ham for a number of weeks now.
According to Plettenberg, the Hammers have reached a verbal agreement with the Red Devils player over a contract set to run until 2029.
However, West Ham still have work to do club-side, as they need to strike a deal with Manchester United.
The Hammers have offered £10million thus far, but according to the Sky Sport Germany reporter, the Red Devils want up to £18million.
West Ham one step away from superb defensive signing
West Ham could certainly do with bolstering their right-back ranks, and Wan-Bissaka would be a good shout.
He’s talented, experienced, fast, hard to get the better of, and is superb defensively.
Former Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer once called Wan-Bissaka “one of the best one-against-one defensive full-backs in the world”.
Meanwhile, James Maddison rates the player even more highly, deeming him “probably the best in the world bar none” when it comes to 1v1 defending.
West Ham have got over the line player-side, and now they need to strike a deal club-side. Hopefully it won’t be long before the “here we go” starts doing the rounds.
