Arne Slot should make a £45m-rated attacker his priority signing this summer transfer window.

Liverpool have made a slow start to the window but with the new Premier League season now less than three weeks away, business is expected to ramp up.

Slot is thought to be keen on signing a centre-back, midfielder and attacker, so with that said, here is one player they should be going all out to sign.

Liverpool should try to sign Mohammed Kudus

Liverpool are in the market for an attacker this summer and West Ham United’s Mohammed Kudus should be at the top of their wishlist.

Following his £38m switch from Ajax last year, Kudus has quickly established himself as one of the most exciting forwards in the Premier League.

The 23-year-old netted 14 times whilst laying on six assists in his debut campaign at The Hammers including a number of sublime individual goals.

Kudus would fit perfectly into Slot’s system as he’d be able to seamlessly operate in a number of different roles across the forward line.

Mohammed Kudus profile

Kudus, who has been labelled ‘magical’ per West Ham United’s YouTube channel, is an extremely versatile player, which is an increasingly popular trait in today’s game.

The Hammers playmaker plies his trade off both flanks and as a number 10, so if he were to join Liverpool, he’d provide great depth across a number of areas.

The only sticking point with Kudus is his price tag as he’s expected to cost £85m – his reported release clause.

It remains to be seen if the Merseysiders would be willing to outlay such a substantial sum, however, if they’re to offload the likes of Sepp van den Berg and Caoimhin Kelleher, they’d have the capital to do so.

In other news, Liverpool have now started negotiations to sign ‘electric’ £80m Euro 2024 forward.
