A £20m Arsenal player has just agreed to leave North London this summer for Serie A giants Inter Milan.
Arsenal are working on a number of deals at the moment as they look to bring in Riccardo Calafiori, Nico Williams and potentially Mikel Merino.
To facilitate these deals, they must trade to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations and therefore it appears a highly rated player is set to depart for Italy.
He’s just given the green light to the move.
Jakub Kiwior says yes to Inter Milan move
According to Gazzetta delo Sport, via Get Italian Football News, Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior has said yes to a move to Inter Milan.
Kiwior is now deemed surplus to requirements by Mikel Arteta with Calafiori set to take his place in the squad.
The Poland international is Inter’s first choice target this window and they have received the green light to advance the move.
Arsenal are only interested in a permanent deal or at the least, a loan with an option to buy, though it’s understood Nerazzurri are hopeful, as time moves on, that they’ll soften that stance.
Jakub Kiwior pricetag
Kiwior, who was a £20m addition in January 2023, is valued at around £25m.
Considering his hot and cold 18 months in North London, Edu Gaspar may need to reduce that price tag in order to offload him.
At this stage, there are no suitors in the market that appear to be willing to meet that figure, especially not in Serie A.
So Inter are likely to play a waiting game until The Gunners soften their stane and allow him to depart on loan.
