A Tottenham Hotspur player has come out on record and made his desire to leave very clear.

Ange Postecoglou has made no secret of the fact a number if players could leave the club this summer transfer window.

Like all clubs in the Premier League and EFL, Spurs will have to trade and move players on in order to facilitate incomings due to Financial Fair Play regulations.

With that said, one player looks set to depart and has made his intention to do so very clear in a recent interview that has surfaced.

Emerson Royal wasn’t happy with his game time last season

Speaking in a recent interview, via Sky Sports, Tottenham defender Emerson Royal has admitted he wasn’t happy at his lack of game time last season and wants to leave amid links to AC Milan.

“I’ve always made it clear. I’m very competitive and it bothers me a lot to be left on the bench. I was upset and I told the coach about it,” Emerson said.

“I’ve always been very professional, put the most intensity into training, but this situation doesn’t work for me. I don’t know what my future will be. I am not a player who sits on the bench.

“I want to play, and if it’s not here, I understand that, but I want to go somewhere I can play. I want to play for the Brazil team and that is unlikely if I don’t play at club level, so I have to look for new places.”

AC Milan in talks to sign Emerson Royal

AC Milan have been in talks to sign Emerson Royal over the last few weeks and it’s understood that personal terms have already been agreed upon.

The sticking point now is the transfer fee and TBR exclusively reported on Wednesday that Milan and Tottenham remain locked in talks after a £15m bid was rejected.

Daniel Levy is driving a hard bargain for the ‘outstanding’ defender, as quoted by The Standard, as he wants £20m to sanction a sale.
