Liverpool did not sign any new players during the winter transfer window – and why would they?
The Reds currently sit top of the Premier League under Arne Slot – and progressed through to the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 as winners of the league phase – so there is little Liverpool can improve within their squad.

Liverpool did look at Stefano Tzimas – but Brighton ended up signing the Greece U21 international in a £20m deal.
However, at least one or two signings are expected to be made this summer as Liverpool aim to keep their squad fresh and competitive, with Richard Hughes – Director of Football at Anfield – now making plans to complete a deal similar to one we often see the Reds make.
Liverpool want to sign Jesus Rodriguez from Real Betis
A story from El Desmarque in Spain now states that Liverpool are keen to sign Jesus Rodriguez from Real Betis.
The Spanish news outlet claim that Liverpool arranged for scouts to go and watch the 2-2 draw between Real Betis and Athletic Bilbao on Sunday, in which the Spain U19 international played 81 minutes.

Rodriguez only broke into the first-team earlier this season, with the 19-year-old amassing six appearances in La Liga so far, scoring one goal.
Liverpool have previous when it comes to snapping up talent from Spain
If Hughes – who left Bournemouth for Merseyside – manages to bring Rodriguez to Anfield, it would be the sixth time we’ve seen Liverpool sign a top prospect from Spain.
El Desmarque pay reference to the fact Liverpool have previously signed five other Spanish wonderkids in the form of Antonio Barragan, Dani Pacheco, Miki Roque, Suso and Luis Alberto.

Of course, none of them managed to fulfil their potential at Anfield – although Suso and Alberto did find success at AC Milan and Lazio respectively.
Clearly – however – the Reds have not been put off by a relative lack of success in this particular area of the market, with Rodriguez now being closely monitored by Liverpool after his breakthrough in Spain.
