Everton haven’t been busy in the January transfer window so far, but it has been a very interesting month for the Toffees.
Indeed, Everton have new owners, a new manager and are getting ready to move into a new stadium.
The only thing missing at Goodison Park is a few new players.
Luckily, there’s still over a week to go in the January transfer window, and Everton could be busy in that time.
Indeed, Everton are looking at a few potential signings before the deadline.
Everton have been linked with Arthur Melo recently, while Marcus Edwards is an Everton target too.
Breel Embolo has also been linked to Everton, so it’s clear that the Merseyside club want to bolster their attack.
Speaking on Market Madness, Dean Jones has been discussing Everton’s transfer plans, and he says that Ernest Nuamah remains of interest to Everton, claiming that the Merseyside club are continuously touching base over this potential signing.

Everton keep asking about Ernest Nuamah
Jones shared what he knows about Nuamah and Everton.
The journalist says that Everton keep asking about Nuamah, and while they don’t have a lot of money to spend, the £21m man is a concrete target.
“The winger one at Everton is interesting, they keep touching base with Lyon about a player called Ernest Nuamah. Now, they don’t have loads of money right now it seems, but when you have new owners, a new manager and a new stadium, you’re going to push the boat out more than people expect,” Jones said.
Ernest Nuamah stats this season
Nuamah to Everton could be one to keep an eye on towards the end of the January transfer window, but this may not be a transfer that is the answer to all of Everton’s prayers.
Indeed, Nuamah isn’t in the middle of what you would describe as a brilliant season for Lyon.

Nuamah is yet to score a goal or get an assist so far this season, and, worryingly, his numbers last term weren’t brilliant either.

Nuamah is only 21 years old, so this is a player who could grown and improve significantly, but Everton aren’t really in a position where they can take on a project player.
Everton’s win against Tottenham at the weekend alleviated some of the pressure, but relegation is still a real threat for the Toffees.

Everton need a player who will come in and make an impact now, and, sadly, Nuamah doesn’t look like he’s that sort of player.
