It wouldn’t be a January transfer window without Chelsea doing some big business and the Blues are once again being linked with a number of moves before the window slams shut.

Enzo Maresca is keen to strengthen where he can, while he’s also open to players moving on as well.

Indeed, Aston Villa are believed to be in for Axel Disasi, while Bayern Munich are pushing hard to do a deal for Christopher Nkunku.

Naturally, that leaves the door open for incomings and with reports suggesting Chelsea like Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho, the Blues are clearly looking at wide players again.

However, while Garnacho is of interest, it is a long-term Liverpool target who is also on Chelsea’s list in the form of Dortmund star, Karim Adeyemi.

Chelsea interested in Karim Adeyemi as well as Alejandro Garnacho

According to a report from L’Equipe, Chelsea are considering a move before the end of January to strengthen the wide areas and Dortmund ace Adeyemi is on their list.

The report claims that both Adeyemi and United winger Garnacho are on Chelsea’s list of potential signings.

Garnacho is said to be frustrated with life under Ruben Amorim and is being looked at by Napoli, who also like Adeyemi as well.

When it comes to Adeyemi, his form for Dortmund has caught the eye over a number of seasons now.

Indeed, it was only in the summer of 2024 that Liverpool were considering a move for Adeyemi as they ramped up their long-term interest in him.

Adeyemi a cheaper alternative to Garnacho

With suggestions the ‘electric‘ Adeyemi could go for as little as £40m, he is very much at the cheaper end of the scale compared to United’s Garnacho.

United have asked for £70m to even consider selling Garnacho and Chelsea will no doubt consider that when it comes to adding to their squad.

Furthermore, United are less likely to sell to an English club as they take a similar stance to the one they’ve taken with Marcus Rashford.
