Manchester City and Arsenal are just two of the Premier League clubs that have been linked with Omar Marmoush in recent weeks.
TBR Football’s chief correspondent Graeme Bailey recently confirmed that Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and have all watched Marmoush on numerous occasions.
Tottenham Hotspur are also said to have been eyeing Marmoush, and Newcastle United have also been credited with an interest in the Egypt international.
Fabrizio Romano has now provided a major update on Marmoush’s future, declaring “here we go” on his move to a Premier League giant.

Manchester City set to sign Omar Marmoush
Romano has taken to X to declare “here we go” on Marmoush to Man City, with a deal now in place after their final round of talks.
Marmoush wanted to join Man City and now he is set to join Pep Guardiola’s side on a five-year deal, added the transfer insider.
Man City have already struck deals over Vitor Reis and Abdukodir Khusanov, with Marmoush now also set to join the ranks of the reigning champions.
TBR Football recently confirmed that Man City discovered Marmoush’s price tag was £50million.
This was a fee Eintracht Frankfurt had set and privately doubted any of the player’s suitors would be able or willing to pay.
However, the Citizens are huge admirers of the 25-year-old, with Manchester City viewing Marmoush as Julian Alvarez’s replacement.
What Ian Wright said about Marmoush to Arsenal
And so, Arsenal’s fleeting hopes of signing one of the best young forwards in the world has all-but come to an end.
Highbury legend Ian Wright recently spoke about how Marmoush is a “perfect” player and suggested Arsenal should overpay to bring him to N5.
“Marmoush, bro. He’s gone already,” Wright said on the Wrighty’s House podcast.
“But the thing is, he is such a perfect, like, I mean, to be honest, buying anyone off Eintracht Frankfurt is a nightmare because they will rinse you for it, right?” The host said.
“Yes, but like, he’s somebody that you want to get rinsed. I’ll say, I’ll pay whatever, a couple of million over the top, whether it’s five or 10, for him. I would do that.”
Arsenal could certainly do with signing a new forward this month, particularly in wake of injuries to Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka.
Arsenal have been linked with other strikers, including Alexander Isak, Benjamin Sesko and Evan Ferguson, though Marmoush has outperformed even Isak this season.
Omar Marmoush | Alexander Isak | Benjamin Sesko | Evan Ferguson | |
Games | 16 | 18 | 16 | 12 |
Goals | 14 | 13 | 7 | 1 |
Assists | 7 | 4 | 2 | 0 |
Arsenal will need to look elsewhere, and they’ve got until Monday 3 February to get a deal over the line.
