Manchester United need some fresh blood in their squad.

The Red Devils have had a terrible season, sitting 13th in the Premier League, and something really needs to change.

Of course, the main way in which you can change any club’s fortunes is to sign new players, and that’s something Manchester United are bound to do in the near future.

Viktor Gyokeres has been linked to United recently, while United are keen on Milos Kerkez too.

Speaking on The United Stand, Ben Jacobs has been discussing some of United’s transfer plans, and he says that Ruben Amorim’s side have a concrete interest in Tyler Dibling from Southampton.

Manchester United interested in Tyler Dibling

Jacobs shared what he knows about United and their transfer plans.

The journalist says that Dibling is on United’s radar, but a move isn’t likely to happen in January.

Newcastle also like Tyler Dibling, while Tim Sherwood tipped Liverpool to sign Dibling.

“They liked him when Dan Ashworth was there and then Dan Ashworth came across to United, so sometimes those targets migrate. I think that is the same by the way with Tyler Dibling at Southampton who is concretely on Manchester United’s radar. Very early stages., no approach, nothing likely to be possible in January.”

Best signings from relegated clubs

Southampton look almost certain to go down this season, but that doesn’t mean that Dibling isn’t worth signing.

Indeed, many players over the years have been relegated only to become stars upon making a move, something Manchester United ought to know all too well.

United actually signed Roy Keane from Nottingham Forest when they were relegated in 1993, and a number of top players over the years have been relegated from the Premier League too.

Joe Cole to Chelsea
Andy Robertson to Liverpool
Nathan Ake to Manchester City
James Maddison to Tottenham

Dibling is unfortunate that he finds himself in a struggling team right now, but this young man is an exciting talent.

Adam Lallana recently called Dibling a ‘crazy’ talent, via the Daily Echo, and he could be just the player United need to inject a bit of excitement back into this side.

United need to rebuild, and what better way to do that than signing one of the most exciting teenagers in the Premier League?
