Aston Villa enjoyed a productive summer transfer window as they made eight top acquisitions.
Unai Emery made it his mission to significantly bolster his ranks ahead of a Champions League campaign.
Aston Villa outlaid a whopping total of £146m with Amadou Onana’s arrival from Everton the real statement signing.https://tbrfootball.com/topic/andrea-cambiaso/
Onana has established himself as a talismanic figure at Villa Park having already scored three goals from midfield.
Though, Villa’s summer window wasn’t all perfect as they did miss out on a target who is now attracting serious interest from Real Madrid.

Real Madrid want Aston Villa summer target Andrea Cambiaso
According to Calcio Mercato, Real Madrid want to sign Juventus wing-back Andrea Cambiaso, who has been labelled as ‘extraordinary’ per Max Statman.
Aston Villa tabled a £29m bid for Cambiaso over the summer window but Juve rejected the approach and so he remained in Serie A.
Interest in his signature has not dwindled, though, as Real are now showing a serious interest in the 24-year-old.
It remains to be seen if Villa will join the La Liga giants in the race to sign him this winter, though, given their heavy spending in the summer, it seems unlikely.
Aston Villa should just focus on keeping their own talent
For some clubs, the mid-season transfer window can be a game-changer, especially for sides battling relegation.
However, for others, it’s just about retaining their best players and Aston Villa certainly fall into that category.
Arsenal are eyeing Jhon Duran, so it’s imperative the Villans rebuff any forthcoming offers and focus on keeping the young forward settled.
Jacob Ramsey is also sure to attract interest as is Ollie Watkins, so getting through the window unscathed in terms outgoings should be their main priority – rather than looking to bring in players.
